Post-Workout Lunch at The Hummus Pita & Co.

The Hummus Pita & Co.

I don't know why, but I've been having the deepest and I do mean the deepest craving for amazing hummus and falafels. After a work-out around 14th Street in Chelsea, Will and I were really hungry and decided to return to The Hummus Pita & Co.

The layout of The Hummus Pita & Co. reminds me heavily of Chipotle and how the ordering process is similar.

Falafel Bowl, Sweet Tea, and Pita Bread
I ordered a Falafel bowl and inside the bowl contains: Mediterranean rice, hummus, fried eggplant, lettuce, tomato, and falafels. My order also came with a pita bread on the side.

I really liked the variety of food in the bowl and it was really hearty and delicious. The fried eggplant could have used a little salt and pepper. The Mediterranean rice was tasty and had chickpeas in it too. The hummus was as smooth as butter and seasoned just perfectly!

The falafels were awesome! They were nice, golden brown, and fried to perfection. I really liked that it was crispy on the outside and on the inside, it's smooth and full of flavor.

Will ordered a gyro and inside his gyro was beef, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, corn, and a little hummus. I didn't get to try his order so I can't really say how it tastes. However, Will did say it was very filling.

I really like The Hummus Pita & Co. because it's just relaxing to eat here and plus, I love a good fix of hummus and falafel every once in a while. The Hummus Pita & Co. is definitely a place worth checking out if you need a semi-healthy, quick-fix lunch or meal and it will most definitely stuff you full.
